Modern
Agricultural Science & Technology Demonstration Zone of Mianyang
Science & Technology City (for shrot Mianyang Agricultural Science
& Technology Zone) was founded in August, 2001, which is an important
part of the construction of Mianyang Science & Technology City.
It is located in southeast of Mianyang City with an area of 28 sq.km.
It has advantageous natural conditions with the annual air temperature
of 16.5℃, rainfall of 1100mm, sunlight time is 1072 hours and 275
non-frost days. The agricultural manufacure has been realized automatic
irrigation. It is just 10 km away from Mianyang Center, near Mianyang
South Suburb Aerodrome. There are many highways cross this zone, which
makes it have very convenient transportation.
The 13 sq.km. core zone of Mianyang Agricultural Science & Technology
Zone is an important part of Mianyang City Construction, built according
to the high level and jumping-off point workout layout. There have
been made out more than 10 functional parks, such as Agricultural
Science Park, Livestock Science & Technology Park, Zoology Agricultural
Colligation Demonstration Park, Food Machining Industry Park, Feed
& Animal Medicine Industry park, Agricultural Industry Park, Modern
Agricultural Community Construction Demonstration Park, Colligation
Service and Agricultural High-Tech Hatch center, etc. At present,
it is applying for National Grade Agricultural Science & Technology
Demonstration Zone.
